Raahil is a PhD student in Land and Food Systems and works at the intersection of environmental and development economics. His on-going research investigates the impacts of economic growth and infrastructure expansion on biodiversity, pollution, and health. He is a member of the UBC Centre for Food, Resource, and Environmental Economics and recipient of the CGS Joseph-Armand Bombardier Doctoral Fellowship.

Prior to his PhD studies, he was a Research Fellow at Harvard University and Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia in India. Raahil holds a M.A. in Economics from UBC and a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies from McGill University
