Julia is a Master of Science Student studying Environmental Economics at the University of British Columbia. Prior to starting her MSc, she obtained a BSc in Environmental Science from UBC and worked on research in the fields of forest resource management and agricultural science at academic and government institutions both within Canada and internationally. Julia is an advocate for interdisciplinary research connecting science with policy outcomes. Her masters research is at the intersection of resource, agricultural and development economics. Specifically, her work focuses on understanding and quantifying the impacts of market access on environmental outcomes in rural Sub-Saharan Africa. |
